The summer season at Korean theaters in the third quarter of 2024 had no Korean megabudget blockbuster. Amid that, Pilot, released on July 31, drew 4.71 million admissions and Escape, released on July 3, drew 2.56 million, both clearing their break-even points, and I, the Executioner, released on September 13 for the Chuseok season, drew 7.52 million to become the No. 3 Korean film of 2024 at the box office. Two posthumous releases from the late Lee Sun-kyun, Project Silence (July 12) and Land of Happiness (August 14), also opened. Annual rankings are based on admissions during 2024 alone. Netflix rankings and views are from Netflix's official weekly charts.
