Korean dramas, October–December 2026: where to start
Editors · 2026-10-03
This quarter leans on adaptations and sequels. SBS airs Doctor X: Age of the White Mafia (Oct 9, starring Kim Ji-won), a Korean take on TV Asahi's Japanese medical hit, in its Friday–Saturday slot, followed in November by season 2 of the divorce-law drama Good Partner. ENA is set to release season 2 of the traffic-crime procedural Crash in mid-November, and tvN plans to air The Second Signal, the sequel to its 2016 hit Signal, on November 30.
Among the new titles, period dramas stand out. tvN's 20th-anniversary drama 100 Days of Deception (Oct 10) is a spy romance set in 1930s Gyeongseong (Seoul) between a pickpocket turned undercover agent (Kim Yoo-jung) and an interpreter at the Japanese Government-General of Korea (Park Jin-young). JTBC's Sacred Jewel follows a convoy sent to retrieve a sacred relic in Goryeo during the Mongol invasions.
On streaming, Disney+ is scheduled to release The Remarried Empress (November; Shin Min-a, Ju Ji-hoon, Lee Jong-suk, Lee Se-young), based on the web novel, and Netflix plans to release Tantara, written by Noh Hee-kyung and starring Song Hye-kyo and Gong Yoo. Director Ahn Pan-seok's youth romance Between Steps (ENA, Oct 5) is also worth a look.
